10-year roleplay - (below is not the entirety!)
The eldest out of her nine siblings, she was born as the oldest twin to her brother, Aerios Labastion. Moon twins who both share a soul, him being the light, Vena'rae being the darkness. Their journey started when their parents and 4 younger siblings were murdered in their homeland by an unknown village explosion. She and her twin, Aerios were spared by an aether shield that presented a vision which led to setting sea to Limsa Lominsa. Within the first year of her journey of becoming an adventurer, Eorzea, Ishgard and the Scions fought to endlessly against what is called The Ascians, along with ending the 1,000 year Dragonsong War, resulting in the tragic death of not only her best friend, but her brother, Aerios. The heartbreak from this hardened her with an unknown rage as a part of her was forever lost. Aerios death haunts her to this day as she blames herself for being unable to save him. As she continued onward, she dropped her summoning skill and picked up a sword, as becoming a dark knight helped the unraveling of her last name, as well as the discovery of her father's bloodline. A history of their ancestors who were a mixture of dragon riders, vampiric offspring, necromancy, and dark magic, Vena was casted into her truth and adopted into her dark side.
Here her life journey began, balancing her reaper and dark knight abilities. As the following year passed, her loyalty was unmatched she also devoted herself to Ishgard and the star. She was led there to help win a war years ago, the very place she lost her brother and also her best friend, the Ishgardian people ended up becoming the closest thing she has of what's left of a family. As for her personality, her isolation resembles best as a lone wolf. She speaks with a tone of wit, a darkened stare with moonlit eyes, but packed behind the intimidation is a charming woman who wants to see you succeed. She is known as the White Raven, a nickname of many. She is also bound to the moon, making her a chosen child of the moon, to which she prays to the guardian himself, Althyk. Over time, the power of the moon has altered her appearance. Where she was once had long midnight black hair, light gray skin with red/soft yellow eyes is no more. The stronger she learned the balance between Palelight and Darklight, the more the moon took over. Her appearance now stands as a "silk-like shine" with moonlit hair that has twist into an eclipse tone, with glowing white eyes. For only when she summons her blood moon abilities does her vampiric side expose itself. With all of this known knowledge, and although genlte in most scenarios, she is forever tainted as it’s her bloodline curse. Becoming a dark knight couldn’t perfect it, but becoming a reaper calmed it. Each time she fights, she battles life and death internally. For if she fails to have the upper hand over her Labastion bloodline, she’ll become corrupt, like her brother once did, resulting in his inevitable demise.
When not on the battlefield, she walks alone in shapeshift, or if not accompanied by her husband, Ethos Kira. She speaks when necessary and only has a love for Ishgard, her husband, and the star. For even though she lost everything since the war, she still fights for the greater good as she knows it is her purpose. Her legacy of defeating Zodiark and the Ascians will forever live in this timeline, but she also fights so that she will not let others suffer as she once did. A chosen child of the moon, who dreams of the friends she once had, and the memories of her brother’s belly barrel laugh help bring a peaceful rest when lying next to Ethos as the daylight breaks over the moonlight.
